Camp Bandido - Angeles National Forest - September 23, 2017
Bandido Campground is located 28 miles (Don't think 28 minutes!) from the 210 Freeway in La Canada off State Hwy 2, and 3 miles west of Three Points on the Santa Clara Divide Road (3N17). The campground is at an elevation of 5,840 feet amid Jeffrey pines and scrub oak and will accommodate groups as large as 120 campers. There are 25 tables, 2 fire rings, stoves, pit toilets, and water faucets.
It is not necessary to have a parking permit for the Angles National Forest if you park in the group campground.

Campouts - Boys leave from Lincoln Middle School Basketball Court at 1501 California Avenue in Santa Monica at 7:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning. All boys should bring a sack lunch for Saturday and about $5.00 to buy lunch on the trip home. Boys are returned to their homes Sunday afternoon, usually between 2-4p.m. Scouts must be in full uniform traveling to and from camp and are responsible for bringing the required gear. With advance arrangements, equipment such as tents can be shared. Patrol leaders are responsible for arranging food for the patrol and costs are shared. Scouts not yet in patrols need to report to the assistant scoutmaster in charge of their rank.
